This help document is divided into sections that help the user or admin access the result pages generated by the RMS system. The first section deals with accessing the results pages themselves (URL formats and options), the second section deals with viewing and printing the results page.

This section describes how to use the URL parameters in the Regatta Management Solutions results page to create bookmark-able links that customize the look and content of the results.

The basic format of a results page url is: www.regattaman.com/results.php?race_id=N&yr=YYYY where N is the race number for the event and YYYY is the four digit year of the event.

OPTIONS:
If you are planning on linking to or embedding the results page from the RMS system into a web page from another system, there are some optional parameters that can be used to alter the output to better fit your needs.
**all parameters should follow normal URL syntax (eg. delimited by an & )
Example:
www.regattaman.com/results.php?race_id=1&yr=2015
will give you the results for race_id 1 (The Great Chase Race) in 2015.

Optional Parameters

Parameter
Examples
Notes
yr
yr=2015
yr must be a single 4 digit year, if not specified, it defaults to the current year.
race_id
race_id=1
The race_id parameter uses the unique race id number(integer) in the RMS system to identify each race of interest. The race_id for a particular race can be found on Publish and Event Details setup page.
It is required that the URL always contains a valid race id parameter. If not specified, the race_id will default to the the previously visited race_id. If no previous race id can be found, It will return the user to the main RMS calendar page.
race_num
race_num=0
race_num=99
The race_num parameter uses the unique race number(integer) in the RMS system to identify each individual race in a multi_race regatta. Race numbers are integers between 0 and 98, race number 0 is the first race of a regatta, 1 the 2nd,.... Race number 99 is used to specify the overall results. Race numbers 100, 101,... are used to specify overall results that are a subest of races defined in the overall setup
For single race regattas, race_num should NOT be specified and will default to 0.
For multi race regattas, if not specified race_num will default to 99 if the overall race in in Preliminary or Final Status. If not it will default to the highest race number less than 99 that is in Final or Preliminary status.
cancel_dest
cancel_dest=https://www.google.com
cancel_dest=calendar.php
The cancel destination is the URL for the page that the user will be directed to when they click on the cancel button at the bottom of the results page.
If not specified it defaults to the main calendar page of the RMS system.
NOTE: When specifying a custom url be sure to use proper URL encoding.
