GCR still on

Good Morning.

The current sustain wind forecast for 1300 today is at or below 23 mph, which is the maximum sustained wind range we look at for running a regatta. Therefore, we are planning to start the Great Chase Race as scheduled. We do recognize that there will be gusts greater than 23 and ask skippers and crew to carefully assess their vessel and crews ability to compete in these conditions.  The dinner and party are also on as scheduled after racing.  See you soon.

GCR Ammended SI regarding Start Times

As it is quite likely that the wind conditions will be such that all boats would be able to complete the Long Course(11 nm), we have removed the short course option.  In it's place we have created 2 start times for each boat that is based on the actual wind conditions 15 min minimum prior to the race warning signal.   The 2 start times will be based on Medium and Heavy wind ratings from your rating data.
