BHYC Regatta and Shipyard Cup Classics Challenge

The Boothbay Harbor YC is expanding its 2021 Regatta to include four classic divisions which will sail under the Shipyard Cup Classics Challenge banner. The Shipyard Cup Classics Challenge will feature divisions for Vintage, Classic, Modern Classic and Spirit of Tradition yachts. 

Four classes for PHRF racing featuring yachts from GMORA, one design classes such as J80's and Boothbay Harbor One Designs plus  cruising divisions for both experienced racer cruisers and "new to racing" cruiser  will also be offered.

Wonderful to see some of the visiting racing yachts arriving in the harbor.

Entries keep hovering around 60 - a great turnout!

WE’RE HAVING A PARADE!!! Sunday 10:00 a.m. all boats with power will be parading are invited to travel through Boothbay’s inner harbor. Specific instructions and details will be handed out registration. Please fly your battle flags, dress ship (not a requirement but the crowds love it!) and wave to the crowds. The parade announcer is Audrey Hodgdon and the parade will be broadcast from the town’s Whale Park. You can listen to the parade announcements on VHS channel 72. Bulltin #3 - Very Important!

REGATTA RECEPTION $25 per ticket (2 per boat included in registration for non-discounted registrants).You need to purchase your tickets before 2100 hours tonight, July 20th. This deadline is so we can finalize our arrangements with our caterer. You will be required to have a purchased ticket (wrist band) for entrance so don’t miss out. We won’t have tickets available for purchase at registration or at the reception.

WAIVERS Every boat and crew member must complete a waiver before racing. See Bulletin #1 on how to do this. A boat’s entry is not considered complete, and they will not be scored, until all crew have submitted the waiver form.
