Hingham Bay Racing - Solstice Regatta 

Each season, Hingham Bay Racing organizes three weekend races: the Circle the Lights Race, Solstice Regatta & the Chowder Cup. Hingham Bay Racing coordinates with Hingham Yacht Club, which hosts the Hitchcock Regatta, to score these races as the Hingham Bay Racing Bucket Series. The Bucket is awarded annually to the boat with the highest overall points in each class across 4 of the qualifying races. Each race has its own format, start time and racing area so make sure to read the sailing instructions ahead of time!

The Solstice Regatta starts at 1600hrs, taking advantage of the late sunset in June. This race course is unique as the marks of the course are a group of Hingham Bay and Boston Harbor Islands - selected by the RC on race day depending on the weather conditions. Start the race, pass through a gate, and chooose a direction to circumnavigate the islands in whichever direction your skipper determines! 

In addition, each race is scored as a Mass Bay Sailing Association - Qualifying Series Races.
