2022 Driftwood Cup
Welcome to the 2022 Driftwood Cup Information page.

The Driftwood Cup was created in honor of a long time Junior Sailing Instructor Bobby Horack, who taught for nearly a decade with his focus on fun, sportsmanship and racing, in that order. Bobby taught us more than just sailing, he taught us to be kind, respectful and not be afraid to be ourselves. He loved being on Hull Bay and so we thought it would be fitting to honor him with a Regatta in his name. The RMH Driftwood Cup has been kinda fiercely battled for over a decade.  We began racing in Turnabouts, single handed…of course, moved to 420's and finally Rhodes 19's, and in 2021 expanded to a pursuit model allowing small boats of all types to compete.  For 2022 we'll run the same format.

This race is meant to be fun and instructive; the rules are loose. This is a great event for first time racers.  We especially encourage skippers of small boats (Ensign, Catalina 22) and one designs (Rhodes 19, 110, Laser, 420) to enter.  If you are looking to compete hard core, the Great Chase is for you. If you want to have a blast on the water with fellow members, sign up for the Driftwood Cup today!
