Great Racing begins in 2 days! RACE DOCUMENTS: All race documents can be found on www.BoothbayRegatta.com under Race Information. For Brevity, we are not repeating all the information from our earlier Bulletins.
WE’RE HAVING A PARADE!!! Sunday 10:00 a.m. all boats with power will are invited to parade through Boothbay’s inner harbor. Specific instructions and details will be handed out registration. Please fly your battle flags, dress ship (not a requirement but the crowds love it!) and wave to the crowds. The parade announcer is Audrey Hodgdon and the parade will be broadcast from the town’s Whale Park. You can listen to the parade announcements on VHS channel 72.

Attention GMORA Racers and Crew
The 2022 Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club Regatta and Shipyard Cup Classics Challenge is just over 12 days away! Register now so you are ready to race July23! If you have any questions, please connect with the event Co-chairs listed at the bottom of this bulletin.

RACE DOCUMENTS: All race documents can be found under Race Information as well. The Notice of Race has been posted. The Sailing instructions will be posted as the event nears.
REGATTA SOCIALS: We have three great social events planned for the weekend: ● Friday July 22, 17:30 hours, is the Owners/Skippers Dinner at BHYC, $45 cost. (Limit 2/boat) ● Saturday, is the Regatta Party at Bristol Marine’s Shipyard at Boothbay Harbor from 17:30 to 19:30. Full registration boats ** will be provided with two reception tickets. Additional tickets will cost $35. Note: ** Full Registration boats will also be provided with eight free beverage tickets that can be used at the Party and at BHYC. Additional drink tickets will be sold at Registration and at the Party. Beverage tickets are $5 each – one ticket for beer/wine (Shipyard Cup is our beer sponsor) and two tickets for drinks (Gosling’s is our rum sponsor). You can purchase tickets for both events by clicking Social Events. Please purchase your tickets before July 19th. • Sunday is the Awards Ceremony at Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club after racing - open to all participants – no charge.
WAIVERS: Every boat owner must complete a boat waiver when they register. Individual waivers are also required for all participants. Have your crew go to Complete Individual Crew Waiver to complete an individual waiver before racing. A boat’s entry is not considered complete, and they will not be scored, until all crew have submitted the waiver form.
REGISTRATION AND SKIPPER’S MEETING: In-person Registration will be on Friday, July 22, from 1600 to 1900 at BHYC. Late registration, Saturday morning from 0800 to 0930. Skipper’s meeting at BHYC at 0930. PARADE OF SAIL The Parade of Sail through Boothbay Harbor on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. More details to follow.

Bulletin 3 - Things to Do Now
RACE DOCUMENTS: All race documents can be found on www.boothbayregatta.com For Brevity, we are not repeating all the information from Bulletin #1 or #2 which you can find on the website under Race Information – Race Bulletins RATINGS If you do not have a rating or you have not renewed your rating, you should obtain a rating IMMEDIATELY through either i) the Classic Yacht Owners Association – for boats racing in the classics divisions (other than casual cruising) - https://www.classicyachts.org/ratings/certificates/ ii) PHRF – for boats racing in the PHRF divisions or the cruising division - https://www.gmora.org/membership to join GMOR and get a rating. iii) If you are racing casual cruising and do not have a PHRF rating, please send an email to info@boothbayregatta.com requesting an informal rating. REGATTA RECEPTION You can purchase tickets for both Friday and Saturday evening events by clicking Social Events. Please purchase your tickets before midnight on July 18th. This deadline is so we can finalize our arrangements with our caterer. You will be required to have a purchased ticket (wrist band) for entrance so don’t miss out. We won’t have tickets available for purchase at registration or at the reception. WAIVERS Every boat and crew member must complete a waiver before racing. See Bulletin #2 on how to do this (HINT: send this link to each member of your crew!. You can see who has signed a waiver here). A boat’s entry is not considered complete, and they will not be scored, until all crew have submitted the waiver form. GOOD NEWS, for boats that have provided this information for 2021, we have your information already and you don’t need to submit it again but if you have new or a better description, please provide it. See your boat’s 2021 information on the website – use the Q symbol to search by boat name.
